1. Use a quarter sheet cake to create a sculpted purse cake. Stack the layers and trim into a purse shape.

2. Crumb ice the sculpted cake, and use dowels to keep the layers in place.

3. Prepare a cake board with black fondant and cover the edges with a dark pink ribbon. Cover the cake with white fondant, and place it in the center of the prepared cake board.

4. Sheet black fondant, and use a cutter to make curvy strips of random widths and lengths.

5. Dampen the white fondant, and place the black strips all around the sides of the cake, creating a zebra-striped bag.

6. Sheet pink fondant, and cut a strip about 1ᄑ ins. wide and 36 ins. long. Use a quilting tool to emboss the edges of the strip.

7. Use water to attach the pink strip of fondant to the bottom of the purse.

8. Cut a semi-circle out of sheeted pink fondant.

9. Drape the semi-circle over the top of the bag to create the purse flap, and use a quilting tool to emboss the edges of the flap

10. Airbrush iridescent pearl color over the entire cake.

11. Use a cut paper tube to pipe white curlicues on the cake board in front of the purse.

12. Make slits in the top of the cake, one on each side of the purse flap. Use a knife to push one end of a black ribbon into the slit. Place the other end of the ribbon in the other slit to create the purseメs strap.

13. Use a cut paper tube to pipe white details on the top of the purse below the strap. Cut a small square, about 1-in. by 1-in., of black fondant, and use the quilting tool to emboss the two vertical sides. Use water to attach the square to the bottom of the flap for the purseメs clasp.

14. Use tip No. 124 to pipe pink, upside-down roses on a flower nail, and place the roses on the piped curlicues on the cake board. (The flowers will look more like a swirl than a rose.) Use a v-shaped cut paper tube to pipe green leaves around the roses.

15. With tip No. 9, pipe white five-petal flowers at the base of the purseメs strap. Pipe pink spiral centers and green leaves. Use a cut paper tube to pipe a message on the purseメs flap in black icing. Sprinkle glitter over the cake board to finish the design.
