Bunge Ltd. has named James T. Hackett an independent member of its board of directors, effective Nov. 1.
Hackett, 57, is the chairman and CEO of Anadarko Petroleum Corp., an oil and gas exploration company. He also is director of Fluor Corp. and the Welch Foundation for Chemistry.
Bunge, based in White Plains, N.Y., buys, sells, stores and transports oilseeds and grains to customers worldwide.
