By all accounts, the 2011 BEMA annual meeting, held June 23-28 in Santa Barbara, Calif., was pretty groovy. Augmenting its business sessions, BEMA hosted a 1960s-themed party that drew some throwback out ts (and hairstyles). The laid back atmosphere extended to an opening reception and beach party. Slightly more formal was the black tie, Oscar-themed Chairman’s Dinner. During the dinner, outgoing BEMA chairman Mike Cornelis welcomed incoming chairman, Matt Zielsdorf.
