Honey bears
Ingredients Lbs. Ozs. Method
Honey 4 lbs. 7 oz.
Granulated sugar 2 lbs.
Shortening 1 lb.
Eggs 10 oz.
Ground ginger 2 oz.
Vanilla 1 oz.
Salt 1 oz.
Cream together.
Whole milk 1 lb.
Baking soda 2 oz.
Dissolve baking soda in milk. Add to creamed mixture; mix at low speed until thoroughly combined .
Pastry flour 7 lbs. 8 oz.
Add to above mixture at medium speed just until blended.
Instructions: Roll out dough to 1/8-in. thick. Cut with bear-shaped cookie cutters. Lightly brush cookies with water; decortate with candied fruits and nuts as desired. Bake at 360·F for 12-15 minutes. Yields about 15 dozen 1/2-oz. cookies.
