The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Annual Meeting & Food Expo will be held in Anaheim, Calif., June 6-9. More than 20,000 food scientists, suppliers, marketers and others from around the globe will attend the convention to discover the driving forces behind innovations and information affecting consumers, growers, processors, regulators and researchers who make the U.S. food supply diverse.
Experts from companies, government agencies and research institutions will provide insight during more than 1,000 presentations covering topics ranging from new health and safety benefits and product innovations to the latest consumer favorites, fears and trends.
About 250,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space will be filled with more than 1,000 companies that will present their latest advancements in functional, nutritious, appealing or accessible food products.
Several educational and scientific sessions also will be offered. Leading economic experts Todd Buchholz and Dr. Jeffrey Alan Rosenweig will deliver the keynote session, “What's Next? The Current Economy and the Future of Food,” and take on today's tough questions regarding economic and policy issues.
