A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded per academic year to the applicant who can best demonstrates a commitment to a career in the baking industry. The first scholarship was awarded in September 2005. WBA member established the fund to honor Robert (Bob) and Sandy’s Hiller’s life long commitment to the retail baking industry. The scholarship is intended to provide a financial resource for the education of students who will be the future of the baking industry.
The Robert W. Hiller Scholarship committee will review all completed applications submitted to the WBA by Monday, June 5, 2006. For more information about applicant criteria or for an on-line application, please visit www.umwba.org.
