The 1.33-oz. cookie is made with red, white and blue candy-coated chocolate pieces. The preportioned frozen cookie dough requires no mixing or scooping, and it is baked without thawing. Retailers can use the free counter card and flavor tag to drive cookie sales and show support for American troops. To celebrate the promotion, Otis Spunkmeyer has pledged a monetary donation to USO Operation Phone Home, a program that distributes free prepaid international calling cards to service personnel overseas so they can stay connected with their families.
