Use a stiff bristle brush (dry) to pull the icing into the center of the cookie.

Create a leaf bouquet by using several different icing colors. You also can create two-tone leaves by piping each half of the leaf a different color.

To create easy to decorate pull-apart cupcake cakes, place the liners into shaped pans. Then, pour the cupcake batter in and bake. The cupcakes will conform to the pan and create different shapes cupcakes that are still easy to separate. In this case, use a heart shaped pan for an autumn leaf.

Turn the cupcakes onto a cake board, and place a stem at the indent of the heart. Create the stems using tip No. 7 and white royal icing. Use tip No. 12 to outline the cupcakes with green icing. Use a zigzag motion to create the rough edges of a leaf.

Then, smooth the icing over the leaf with a spatula, working from outside in to keep the jagged edges. Overpipe the stem with tip No. 12. With tip No. 3 or No. 5, pipe several squiggles of icing around the edge of the leaf. Use a variety of fall colors.

Create veins in the leaf by pressing the edge of a spatula into the icing.
