This spring Wonder will debut easy-to-see nutritional call-outs on packages of Smartwhite and Smartwheat bread.
Wonder is offering the new labeling to help consumers understand the nutritional aspects of Smartwhite and Smartwheat, as products touting nutritional benefits are being introduced across all categories.
For example, the “Nutrition Notes” on packages of Smartwhite will highlight that a serving (2 slices) contains 100 calories, 5 grams of fiber, as much calcium as an 8-oz. glass of milk, and no high fructose corn syrup. Smartwheat packaging will note that a 2-slice serving contains 25 percent less sodium than traditional wheat bread, 22 grams of whole grains and 100 calories.
