Caravan Ingredients, Lenexa, Kan., named David Fliss sales manager for CSM Bakery Supplies Latin America. He has been with the company for 17 years, holding several positions, including national sales manager, director of sales and director of business development. Diane Carnell was named director, Innovation Center for Caravan Ingredients. Carnell previously was a lecturer of food engineering and director of research and development for Kerry Ingredients, Beloit, Wis.
Chicago Metallic Bakeware, Urbana, Ohio, named Michael Macdonald national sales manager. Macdonald has 17 years of foodservice sales and management experience. In his new position, Macdonald will be responsible for working with the company's sales representatives and providing baking pan solutions to its customers.
- Baker and bakery consultant Michael Eggebrecht joined the technical baking services team at King Arthur Flour, Norwich, Vt. He will support the needs of the company's bakery/foodservice customers in areas such as problem solving, product development and business growth. A lifelong baker with years of hands-on experience and a member of a multi-generational baking family, Eggebrecht is the principal of his own bakery consulting business, Artisan Baking Resources, aimed at being a “resource center for the artisan baking community” through long-term partnerships and temporary consulting services.
Novacart announces promotions
- Joe Miglia was named general manager of Novacart USA, Richmond, Calif. He joined the company in 1994. Rick Botoff was named national sales manager. Also, Maria Giron was promoted to a sales position after working in customer service.
