Springtime in Paris Pastry Show another success
Dorothy Lane Market's annual Springtime in Paris Pastry Show, held recently at its Springboro store near Dayton, Ohio, spotlighted the supermarket's bakery and pastry programs. The event, now in its fifth year, invites the public to sample French pastries and savory hors d'oeuvres along with wine and Belgian ales in an upscale setting.
This year's show also featured demonstrations by chocolatier Ghyslain Maurais and Dorothy Lane pastry chef Kim Bohley. The event sold out with 150 tickets selling for $45 each, said Bakery Director Scott Fox.
A popular event for Dorothy Lane customers and a chance to promote the market's bakery and pastry staff and products, the Springtime in Paris Pastry Show has taken on a life of its own.
“I thought the idea was crazy at first, but it's really working,” Fox said.
Bakery Manager Jennifer Dahm organizes and plans the annual event. For more photos from Springtime in Paris, visit www.modern-baking.com.
