-
8. For more realistic animal print design, create earthy icing colors by adding a touch of brown to the icing. To make a tiger stripe pattern, ice the cupcake with yellow icing using tip No. 12 and smooth. Then, combine orange and brown airbrush coloring to airbrush a crescent along one side of the cupcake.
-
9. With tip No. 3, pipe black strips across the top of the cupcake. Make some small and others longer, and have a couple join at the top and bottom. Flatten with the polyester towel.
-

Cupcakes continue to see strong sales, and a popular trend for both clothing and home furnishings is animal prints. Combine the two and watch sales really take off. You can offer the traditional shades of black, brown and tan or have a little bit of fun with neon colors not seen in nature. The key to decorating animal prints is to think in threes: use three shades of the same color family to create the most realistic design.
