Applesauce walnut bread
Ingredients/ Lbs. Ozs. / Method
Flour 1 lb. 4 oz.
Sugar 11 oz.
Baking powder 2 Tbsp.
Salt 2 tsp.
Baking soda 1 tsp.
Cinnamon 1 tsp.
Walnuts, chopped 1 lb.
Combine in mixer bowl.
Eggs, beaten 3-1/3 oz.
Applesauce 1 lb.
Butter, melted 2 oz.
Combine; add to flour mixture. Mix at 1 st speed of 3-speed mixer just until blended.
Instructions: Pour into greased 16-x-5-x-4-in. Ioaf pan. Bake at 350·F for about 50 minutes or until bread tests done. Yields about 32 slices.
Note: Vegetable oil can be substituted for melted butter.
