|Maraschino cherries||3||2||Drain, reserving 5.5 ozs. of juice. Coarsely chop cherries. Set aside.|
|Butter or margarine, softened||12.5||Combine with reserved cherry juice. Mix|

|Baking powder||1.25||to butter/sugar mixture with bananas.|
|Salt||0.5||Begin and end with flour mixture.|
|Bananas, ripe, mashed||4||6|
|Macadamia nuts or walnuts, chopped||9.5||Add nuts and cherries to batter.|

Instructions: Spread batter evenly among five loaf pans. Bake at 350°F for one hour or until golden brown.
Yields five loaves with 16 servings each.
