H.C. Brill raises funds to fight childhood cancer

This summer, H.C. Brill, Tucker, Ga., partnered with its retail customers and Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to raise money and awareness toward finding a cure for childhood cancers. To date, the foundation has raised $25 million, funding more than 100 research projects nationally.

Brill offered customers rebates on select items, including lemon cookies, lemon fillings, icings and lemon cakes. Retailers were encouraged to donate the rebates to the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Marked products were promoted at more 1,300 retail stores.

“Brill is proud to help out this worthy cause,” said Bret Weaver, Brill president. “Childhood cancer is devastating to any family. By helping to continue what Alex started, we all hope to find a cure.”

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation was begun by Alexandra Scott (1996-2004) after she was diagnosed with cancer.
