Some of the demonstrators include: Julie Bashore, owner, House of Clarendon, Lancaster, Pa.; John Begalla, pastry chef, Pistachio, Columbus, Ohio; and Jory Downer, owner, Bennison Bakeries, Chicago. Downer is a certified master baker and member of the World Champion Bread Bakers Guild Team USA 2005.
Several instructors from top baking and pastry arts programs also will be featured at the American Bakery Expo. Scheduled instructors include Ciril Hitz from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I.; Gerard Molloy from The Art Institute of New York City and Frank Vollkommer from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y.
