Obituary
Jérôme Girardot, 32, executive pastry chef at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C., died on Feb. 23. Born in northeastern France, Mr. Girardot worked and completed culinary training at Aix-en Provence in southern France. He then served as an assistant pastry chef at the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas and as a pastry chef at the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City before becoming executive pastry chef. He is survived by his wife, Wendy, and two sons, Luke and Noah.
