American Almond launches guide to Parisian macarons
Amid the continued popularity of the Parisian macaron in the United States, American Almond has launched Macaronathon, tips on how to make and where to find authentic macarons.
American Almond created a Google map of macaron specialty bakeries in New York City as well as tips on what to look for when eating a macaron. For bakers looking to master the art of making these authentic almond confections, the company tapped the talents of chef Jacquy Pfeiffer, co-founder of the French Pastry School in Chicago, and Ann McBride, coauthor of the book Les Petits Macarons, for tips.
The Macaronathon map of New York City macaron bakeries is accessible here; the PDF guide to identifying, eating, storing and ordering macarons can be downloaded here; and the PDF guide with tips for making authentic macarons can be downloaded here.
