Corner Bakery Corner Bakery Cafe raised more than $268,000 during the 2011 Share Our Strength's Dine Out For No Kid Hungry, its highest donation total ever.

Throughout September, participating cafes offered guests a free whoopie pie with a $1 donation, and a booklet of $30 worth of offers for every $5 donation. Facebook fans can still join Share Our Strength and Corner Bakery Cafe in the effort to end childhood hunger by visiting the Corner Bakery Cafe Facebook page and taking the No Kid Hungry pledge.

During the past two years alone, Corner Bakery has donated more than $500,000 to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign to end childhood hunger in America by 2015.

"Corner Bakery Cafe believes all children should have access to the nutritious food they need to lead healthy, active lives. We localized a national movement and motivated our employees and guests in our neighborhood cafes to take action to support this deserving cause," Jim Vinz, president and COO of Corner Bakery, said in a press release.
