D&W Fine Pack acquires Clear Lam

D&W Fine Pack, Fountain Finn, S.C., has acquired the Thermoforming Division of Clear Lam Packaging, Inc., Elk Grove Village, Ill., which will notably boost its presence in the supermarket segment.

Clear Lam, founded in 1969, provides packaging solutions for use in bakery, prepared meals, confectionary, and produce applications. With facilities in Elk Grove Village, Vernon, Calif., and Nanjing, China, Clear Lam complements D&W's existing North American manufacturing footprint and adds a plant in Asia, opening up opportunities for continued growth both in North America and the Pacific Rim. This strategic acquisition brings D&W to 16 total manufacturing and warehousing facilities worldwide.

"We're delighted to welcome Clear Lam to the D&W Fine Pack family, which allows us to offer our customers exceptional value, greater choices and more flexibility," Mark Staton, president and chief executive officer of D&W Fine Pack, said in a press release. "This is an outstanding operational addition that provides us significant incremental ability to service our retail grocery and processor customers."
