Europain 2012 focuses on innovation
Registration is now open for Europain 2012, taking place March 3-7 in Paris. The event, hosted by Europain, Intersuc and SuccessFood, is expected to attract 1,000 exhibitors and brands, and 85,000 visitors.
Showcasing a variety of equipment, layout solutions, raw materials and food products for industrial and artisan baking and pastry making, this edition of Europain is focused on innovation amid an evolving global bakery market.
The exhibition will focus on seven key trends, including organic produce and products, creative pastry making, bread as a health food, innovation in industrial baking and new social venues for bakeries.
Various competitions also will take place during the five-day show. The finals of the Bakery World Cup will unite 36 of the most talented bakers from the following 12 countries: South Korea, Costa Rica, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Sweden, Senegal, the USA, Taiwan and Japan. The three members of each national team will each take part in a final challenge according to their speciality: baking, pastry, and the artistic centerpiece.
The International Confectionary Art competition involves teams from 16 countries battling it out for four days, and is the only international competition to place men and women on an entirely even footing, recruiting only mixed-gender two-person teams.
