Krispy Kreme on Jan. 3 held a grand opening event for its newest location in Portsmouth, Va.
The 2,000-sq.-ft. small factory shop offers more than a dozen varieties of Krispy Kreme's donuts, a complete menu of iced beverages and the new Krispy Kreme Signature coffee blends.
The morning of the grand opening Krispy Kreme offered various prizes, including one free dozen Original Glazed® donuts every week for a year to the first customer in line; one free dozen Original Glazed donuts every month for a year to customers two through 99; and a Krispy Kreme Portsmouth grand opening t-shirt to the 100th customer.
Krispy Kreme also hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 3 featuring Portsmouth mayor Kenneth I. Wright, community leaders and Krispy Kreme staff.
