About 50 employees of The Peerless Group and their families and friends participated in The Shelby County Relay for Life in Sidney, Ohio, on Aug. 5 and 6 to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

All told, the Peerless Relay for Life team raised $2,500, earning a “Bronze Level Team” status. In the weeks leading up to the event, The Peerless team sold pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs, shredded chicken, and tacos to employees during lunch breaks to raise money. During the event, the team raffled off donated baskets of treats, sold beverages and held a 50/50 drawing.

Also during the event, to raise awareness of the types of product that are produced via Peerless machinery, several customers donated cases of snack cakes, chips and cookies, which were passed out to walkers as they passed the booth.
