Steve Buffington
DecoPac, Minneapolis, promoted Steve Buffington to vice president of sales. In his new position, he is responsible for all sales functions. Buffington joined DecoPac three years ago as director of sales, western region. He previously worked for Salmolux and Lucks Food Decorating Co., where he served as national sales manager.
The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA), Madison, Wis., elected its 2010-2011 board of directors and officers. Mark Rudy, vice president, sales, Hubert Co., Harrison, Ohio, was elected president. Rudy succeeds John Sullivan, president and C.E.O., Norseland Inc., Stamford, Conn., who continues to serve on the board. Steve Beekhuizen, senior vice president of sales, Dawn Food Products, Inc., Denver, will serve as executive vice president.
Stratas Foods LLC, Memphis, Tenn., appointed Tedd Kruse C.E.O. effective Jan. 3, 2011. He previously was vice president of sweetener sales for Archer Daniels Midland Co., and served as vice president of North America Food Oils.
The Bread Bakers Guild of America, Sonoma, Calif., elected new officers to its board of directors. Solveig Tofte, Turtle Bread Co., Minneapolis, Jeffrey Yankellow, Simply Bread, Phoenix, and Neal Creamer, Portland, assumed the roles of board chair, vice chair and treasurer, respectively. Phyllis Enloe,Village Bakery Café, Amarillo, Texas, and Andy Clark, Whole Foods Market, Denver, also will begin terms with the board on Jan. 1, 2011. Outgoing board members include Craig Ponsford, chairman, and Abe Faber, vice chairman, as well as Ann Burgunder and Frank Carollo.
King Arthur Flour, Norwich, Vt., appointed Nathan Hildebrandt sales manager, Midwest region, serving the company’s bakery and foodservice customers in the area.
