Chabaso Bakery, New Haven, Conn., an artisan bread company known for its products’ flavor and all-natural freshness, was awarded the 2009 Best Service to the Stores–Perishables by Stop & Shop/Giant-Landover.
“Our product line of crusty, tasty, light and airy breads usually gets all the praise,” said Chabaso’s founder and chief executive, Charles Negaro, “but great customer service is behind this award, and our company is very pleased to receive it. Chabaso Bakery supplies a range of breads and rolls to Stop & Shop stores and to other retail grocery outlets in New England, New York and New Jersey, and into the Mid-Atlantic states.
