Costeaux French Bakery took home the Best of Show Specialty Bread award at the 2011 Sonoma County Harvest Fair awards with its seeded sour batard.
The Healdsburg, Calif.-based bakery also took home gold medals for the ciabatta, ciabatta baguette, epi, multigrain batard, cinnamon walnut bread, walnut baguette, along with sour French countryand sweet baguette. The fair took place Sept 30 through Oct. 2 in Santa Rosa, Calif.
Costeaux, a full-service scratch bakery known for its artisan and sourdough breads, was named Modern Baking’s 2009 National Retail Bakery of the Year. Click here to read the profile.
