Dawn expands four plants, shutters one
To optimize manufacturing capabilities and meet changing customer demands, Dawn Food Products, Jackson, Mich., will expand operations at four manufacturing sites: Atlanta; Manteno, Ill.; Mexico, Mo.; and Modesto, Calif. As a result of these expansions, the company will close its frozen bakery product plant in Tustin, Calif., eliminating about 90 positions.
“Dawn is providing key tools and knowledge that people need to manage this difficult transition,” said Partha Kundu, senior vice president of operations for Dawn’s U.S. Bakery Products. “We greatly appreciate the ongoing dedication from Dawn people to continue providing high quality products and excellent customer service.
