Dunkin launches Twitter sweepstakes

In an effort to boost consumer awareness about its all-day food menu, Dunkin' Donuts launched an "UpgraDDe Your Sandwich" Twitter sweepstakes.

Dunkin’ Donuts is offering its fans the chance to trade up their sandwiches with the "UpgraDDe Your Sandwich" Twitter Sweepstakes.

Through Oct. 19, consumers who tweet a photo of their homemade lunchtime sandwich with the hashtag #UpgraDDewill have a chance to win a $50 gift card. The chain will randomly select five winners on Oct. 19.

Though best known for its coffee and breakfast baked items, Dunkin’ has rolled out a number of all-day sandwich offerings in recent months, which the Canton, Mass.-based chain is likely reinforcing through the Twitter sweepstakes. Available sandwich varieties include Ham & Cheese; Turkey, Cheddar & Bacon; Chicken Salad and Tuna Salad, and Texas Toast Grilled Cheese. Dunkin' Donuts' bakery sandwiches are served oven-toasted on a French roll, bagel, croissant, or multigrain flatbread.

Dunkin' also has stepped up its social media efforts in recent months. The chain rolled out its first mobile payment app in August.
