The Georgia Nut Company is building its Sales and Innovation teams with the addition of two new members.

Andrew Brudevold joins Georgia Nut as Sales Manager, and will be based out of Minneapolis. Brudevold comes to Georgia Nut with 15 years of experience, primarily in the dairy ingredients industry. He was most recently with DairiConcepts (Springfield, MO), and prior to that he was with Quality Ingredients Corporation (Burnsville, MN).

Richard Hauber will add to Georgia Nut’s growth strategy as Innovation Manager. Hauber brings 20 years of new product development and commercialization experience to Georgia Nut. He was most recently with Abbott Nutrition International (Abbott Park, IL). He spent 10 years at Kerry and Guernsey Bel in the Confectionery and Frozen Desserts Groups. Hauber earned his PhD at Purdue in Food Science.

Georgia Nut Company was founded in 1945 by Rose Musso. By the late 1970’s the third generation to the family business became actively involved with new ideas and the entrepreneurial spirit inherited from their grandmother. A nut company with humble beginnings took its first steps in becoming a multi faceted company with an expansion into candy manufacturing.

Georgia Nut is now located in a 130,000 square foot manufacturing facility with a combination of state of the art equipment complimented by the old-fashioned small batch methods. In addition, the company’s products are warehoused and shipped from a 180,000 square foot distribution center located just down the road from the Skokie facility.
