Grand Central Bakery opened its seventh bakery café location in Portland, Ore.’s Beaumont Village on July 23. The Beaumont café (pictured, right) will be managed by Jenna Rice, currently café manager at Grand Central Bakery in Multnomah Village.

The interior of the 50-seat Beaumont Bakery (pictured, left) has been completely remodeled, with Oregon madrone wood floors, visible production areas, a wrought-iron bread rack and a patio with seating for 40.

The menu will feature Grand Central staples, such as cinnamon rolls, shortbread, Danish, croissants, seasonal fruit pies, baguettes, Como loaves, sourdough, peasant levain, sandwiches, U-bake frozen pies and frozen pie dough.

In addition to the Portland locations, Grand Central operates three cafés in Seattle and has wholesale bread businesses in both cities. The family-owned bakery was founded in Seattle in 1989 by Gwenyth Bassetti.
