Harlan Bakeries named 2010 Supplier of the Year at annual Dunkin’ Brands Franchisee & Enterprise Awards

Dunkin’ Brands, Inc., the parent company of Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, recently named Harlan Bakeries of Avon, Ind., the 2010 Supplier of the Year, one of the company’s highest distinctions.

The Supplier of the Year Award is presented to a vendor that adds significant value through cost savings, innovative process engineering, product quality, service enhancements or incremental sales.

Harlan Bakeries became a supplier for the Dunkin’ Donuts Bagel Twist category in 2010. The bakery company worked with the culinary and commercialization teams at Dunkin’ Donuts on this new variety of bagels, which drove a significant increase in the brand’s overall bagel category sales.

“Harlan Bakeries has been a great partner and asset to the Dunkin’ Donuts brand,” said Nigel Travis, Dunkin’ Brands CEO and Dunkin’ Donuts President. “They consistently delivered excellence against condensed timelines and escalated volumes, contributing greatly to our bagel success last year. Harlan Bakeries received their award at the Dunkin’ Brands Franchisee & Enterprise Awards event on March 1 at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, Mass.
