Iconic Pittsburgh bread back on shelves
After 19 months, residents of Pittsburgh are once again enjoying Jenny Lee Bakery cinnamon swirl bread. After shuttering Jenny Lee Bakery in 2008 after 70 years of operation, father-and-son team Bernie and Scott Baker last month opened 5 Generation Bakers. The new bakery supplies several area supermarkets with cinnamon swirl bread and cinnamon raisin swirl bread marketed under the Jenny Lee brand. Scott Baker represents the fifth generation of the Baker family to operate a bakery in the region.
