Japan and South Korea qualify for ’12 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie
The winners of the 2011 Louis Lesaffre Cup Asia are Japan and South Korea. The teams will represent their countries in the 2012 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie (Bakery World Cup).
The China Bakery Exhibition hosted the competition for the second time, as seven countries competed from May 26-28 for a place in the finals. The other competing teams were Australia, China, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
Australia was selected as a “challenger” country, meaning it will compete on June 21 against the other five Louis Lesaffre Cup “challenger” countries--Costa Rica, Brazil, England, Slovakia and Morocco—to determine which team will go to the 2012 Bakery World Cup.
