King Arthur Flour is being featured in a Google TV commercial as part of Google’s “the web is what you make of it” offline campaign for its Chrome browser.
The spot positions King Arthur Flour as a 220-year-old start-up company that has expanded globally because of the web. From recipes to expanded educational programs to a baker’s hotline and expanding product line, King Arthur flour has become a baking resource in addition to a flour supplier.
“We were inspired by the King Arthur Flour story,” Scott Levitan, director of small business engagement at Google, said in a press release. “Here is one of America’s oldest companies embracing the web. The web has let them go from reaching people in their New England neighborhood to reaching bakers around the world.”
