Krispy Kreme kicked off its 75th birthday on Feb. 23 by launching a Glaze the Nation tour in a restored Krispy Kreme Cruiser.
Remiscent of the early years when Krispy Kreme had a fleet of delivery trucks, the Krispy Kreme cruiser is an upgraded 1960 Flxible Starliner. The vehicle will make nearly 500 stops at local fairs and festivals, Krispy Kreme locations and spontaneous stops in the next few months, offering prizes, games and free product. Customers can follow the cruiser in real-time at glazethenationtour.com.
“Because our purpose is to 'touch and enhance lives through the joy that is Krispy Kreme' we felt it was important to get out of our shops and take the party on the road," Dwayne Chambers, chief marketing officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a press release.
