Kenneth A. May has joined Krispy Kreme as president and chief operating officer. In his new role, May will be responsible for all of the company's operating segments and will report to CEO James H. Morgan.

May joins Krispy Kreme with more than 25 years of operational, retail, supply chain and brand experience. Most recently, he was president of ES3 LLC, a logistics company that make supply chain operations more efficient and profitable for manufacturers and retailers. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of FedEx Kinko's Office and Print Centers, and led the integration of Kinko's into FedEx. He also is a former board member of P.F. Chang's China Bistro Inc. and was national chairman of the board for March of Dimes in 2010.

Additionally, to ring in the holiday season, Krispy Kreme announced that it is offering three seasonally inspired donut lines–the red velvet donut, snowman, and chocolate iced with holiday sprinkles–through Dec. 31. And through Dec. 23, Krispy Kreme is offering its Original Glazed donuts in limited edition holiday packaging at participating supermarkets.

In other holiday promotions, Krispy Kreme posted a “Dozen Days of Doughnuts” music video on its website and is running various “Dozen Days” promotions on Facebook for its fans throughout the season.
