The National Honey Board (NHB), Firestone, Colo., launched a new website specifically for the baking industry. The website, www.BakingWithHoney.com, features news, technical information, formulas and profiles of bakers using honey to enhance their products.
For more than 20 years, the NHB has helped bakers with formulation assistance, marketing ideas and new product development. The new website is an extension of NHB’s efforts to provide bakers with a comprehensive resource detailing the benefits of using honey in baked products. In addition, the board also introduced a new logo for its baking industry marketing, advertising and public relations efforts.
“The baking industry is a very important segment for the National Honey Board, and the new website will serve as an informative guide for bakers of all sizes, from retail to wholesale,” said Charlotte Jordan, NHB’s project manager. “The new website and new logo exhibit our dedication to helping the baking industry formulate exceptional products with honey.”
NHB conducts research, advertising and promotional programs to help maintain and expand domestic and foreign markets for honey and honey products. These programs are funded by an assessment of one cent per pound on domestic and imported honey.
