Lester Kirschbaum
Lester Kirschbaum, 92, of Western Springs, Ill., died Feb. 28 of heart failure. A lifetime baker, he owned Kirschbaum's Bakery, which is now run by Mr. Kirchbaum's grandson, Mike. He was a memeber of the Chicago Area Retail Bakers Association (CARBA), an affiliate of the Retail Bakers of America (RBA), and served as president of the Western Spring Business Association. Mr. Kirschbaum was a decorated World War II veteran, having been awarded the Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia; his son, Robert E. and daughter-in-law, Charlene.
