The deadline for entering the Pillsbury Plus Creative Decorating Competition by portfolio is June 30, 2010. This year's competition will be held at IBIE in Las Vegas on September 26-29. Contestants will compete for over $14000 in cash prizes in five categories and the overall Pillsbury Plus Grand Championship.
Local RBA affiliates have been holding contests since January to pick contestants but RBA member cake decorators in areas not represented by a local affiliate can still enter by portfolio. Up to five contestants will chosen from portfolio entries. Applications can be found at www.ibie2010.com/CompetitorApplicationForm2010.pdf but must be postmarked by June 30, 2010.
All contestants will be notified and receive contest materials and hotel information by July 15. All contestants receive 4 nights hotel accommodations and tickets to the awards reception. Sponsors of this year's competition include General Mills, Bakery Crafts, Pfeil & Holing, Chefmaster and Satin Fine Foods.
