The Retail Bakers of America has announced the educational session speakers for the upcoming RBA Roadshow.
The Retail Bakers of America has announced the educational session speakers for the RBA Roadshow, taking place Dec. 2 at Kendall College in Chicago.
The sessions run from 1 from 5 p.m. and will cover two education tracks: cake decorating/baking and business. The decorating classes include: “Low-Tech/High-Impact Sugar Work,” with Michelle Boyd; “Internal Structure 101,” with Pat Jacoby; “Cricut Cakes,” with Fran Leon; and “Individual Desserts,” with Heidi Hedecker.
The business classes include: “Bakery Opportunity: How to Reach Customers More Often,” with Jonna Parker; “Pricing As Seen on TV Cakes for Profit,” with Beth Fahey; “Guerrilla Marketing for the Small Bakery Owner,” with Sue Tinnish; and “Qualifying the Sale: Those Crazy As Seen on TV Cakes.”
In addition to education sessions, the RBA Roadshow also will feature bakery tours, a vendor showcase and evening networking event. Designed to bring bakers, cake decorators, vendors, students and educators together, this one-day event is the first of several regional educational programs planned by the RBA in the coming months.
