Sadie Rose quadruples size
Specialty wholesale bakery, Sadie Rose Baking Co., San Diego, opened its new 23,000-sq.-ft. bakery last month, quadrupling the size of its previous facility. Co-owners Jennifer Curran and Michael Lipman visited artisan bakeries around the country to research layouts and equipment. New equipment includes a stone hearth oven with loading system and an automated ingredient handling system.
The bakery currently supplies fine restaurants, hotels and specialty markets throughout Southern California with ciabatta, baguettes, dinner rolls, sandwich loaves and gourmet hamburger buns. “Our customers and their patrons are more discerning than ever. Attention to detail in all aspects of the business sets us apart,” Curran said.
