MIWE, Arnstein, Germany, received the iba trophy, which is awarded for innovative development and solutions for the bakery trade. MIWE was awarded the treasured certificate by top-class experts after intensive examination of the company's eco:freeze-a solution for energy recovery.
With its unique, patented processing technology, MIWE's eco:freeze is able to produce 30 kW refrigeration (up to -10°C) from the available baking oven waste heat and is thus particularly adapted to flexible use in bakeries, for example, walk-in coolers, air conditioning, ice water preparation or the support of conventional compression refrigerating plants.
“We are proud that the selected experts and the editorial team of BackMedia Verlag were not only aware of our development performance thanks to this branch award, but also recognized the impulse of the MIWE energy concept. In the future, we will design custom-made solutions for individual demands under consideration of the energy savings and efficiency together with our customers,” said Eike Zuckschwerdt, division manager, Energy.
According to the judges, MIWE eco:freeze received this award because MIWE has put an already-known process into practice with a lot of expert know-how, thus offering bakers an overall solution in the area of energy savings and efficiency in the future.
