Ralcorp Holdings Inc. has purchased Petri Baking Products, Inc., a producer of private-label wire-cut cookies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Petri Baking Products manufactures and distributes a line of high-quality cookies in both soft style and crunchy wire-cut varieties for multiple retail channels.
"We are pleased to complete this transaction, which complements Ralcorp's cookie product offerings," Kevin J. Hunt, chief executive officer and president of Ralcorp, in a press release. "We welcome the Petri Baking Products management team and employees to the Ralcorp family."
Petri Baking Products is based in Silver Creek, N.Y., and employs more than 240 people. The business will operate as part of Ralcorp's Snacks, Sauces & Spreads division.
