Synergy Flavors has acquired natural and artificial flavor developer Sethness Greenleaf. Synergy Flavors, a member of the Irish-based Carbery Group, manufacturers and supplies flavors and yeast extracts for the food and beverage industry.
The purchase strengthens Synergy's offerings to several key markets, including bakery, and allows for Sethness Greenleaf to remain in the Chicago area.
"This acquisition provides additional scale to Synergy in important beverage, dairy and bakery markets," Roderick W. Sowders, president and CEO of Synergy Flavors, said in a press release. "Sethness Greenleaf has an excellent reputation in the marketplace which has been built over 130 years and we are excited to have them as a part of Synergy. Additionally, we feel that Synergy's broader product offerings will bring additional value to Sethness Greenleaf's strong customer base."
This latest acquisition comes on the heels of Synergy's acquisition of Sensus, which was completed on Sept. 21.
