Hostess Brands has expanded its bread line with the addition of Wonder Smartwheat, a 100 percent whole wheat variety. The bread has 22g of whole grains, the calcium of 8oz. of milk in two slices and is a good source of nine vitamins and minerals. It contains no high fructose corn syrup and, as part of the brand’s commitment to the National Sodium Reduction Initiative, is lower in sodium.
"Wonder continues to set the standard for baking soft, delicious and nutritious breads the whole family can enjoy," said Ann Oades, director of marketing. "More moms are seeking to increase their family's consumption of foods that contain whole grains, calcium and vitamins while lowering their intake of sodium."
