Wonder Bread is now free of artificial preservatives and chemical additives. Each loaf is made with 100 percent Canadian wheat and contains more than 10 essential nutrients per serving.
The launch comes on the heels of a national survey commissioned by Wonder producer Weston Bakeries Ltd., which showed that consumers are paying more attention to food labels and are seeking products that are free of artificial ingredients.
According to the research, almost eight in 10 (79 percent) of all women feel buying foods that are free of artificial preservatives, artificial colors and artificial flavors is important, with 77 percent of all women say buying foods free of these artificial ingredients is more important now than it was a year ago.
The new varieties, available at grocery and convenience stores across Canada, include Wonder+ White with Fiber, Wonder+ 100% Whole Wheat, Wonder + Invisibles Loaf with 14 Whole Grains, and Wonder Classic White.
