Grote Co. acquires Vanmark Corp.

Established in 1954, Vanmark designs and manufactures industrial peelers for the food processing industry. It will operate as a division of Grote Co., under the name Vanmark Equipment LLC and remain in its current facility
in Creston.

“The acquisition of Vanmark fits perfectly with our growth strategy. At Grote we recognize the need to further diversify our equipment offering into areas beyond our traditional protein markets,” said Bob Grote, vice president, Grote Co.

“This strategy includes the acquisition of like-minded manufacturers of engineered food processing equipment. The Vanmark Corp. scored well in both areas. We see many growth opportunities for Vanmark and believe both companies will benefit from this acquisition,” he added.
