The second annual All Things Baking show will take place Sept. 9-11 in Houston, Texas. Building on the inaugural event held last fall in Chicago, All Things Baking 2012 expects to host more than 3,000 attendees seeking on-trend education, networking opportunities and the latest product trends, equipment and supplies.
“We are very pleased that Houston will host All Things Baking this year,” said Susan Nicolais, RBA Executive Director. “Houston is an incubator for entrepreneurial bakeries and has become a world-class trade show destination with a track-record for growing events that rotate into the region.”
All Things Baking will rotate around the country annually, except during International Baking Industry Expo (IBIE) years when it will not hold a standalone event.
The education program features some notable locals, including Sara Brook, of the Dessert Gallery, who will present a live case study on the social media strategies used to drive in-store traffic. Texas native Bud “the Pieman,” founder of Royers Café, will demonstrate making pies. His pies have been featured on CBS, ABC, Food Network and History Channel. The program will also feature several Spanish language classes and Hispanic baking demonstrations.
Exhibitors such as AB Mauri, Baker's Best, Dawn Food Products, LVO Manufacturing and Revent, Inc. will showcase their latest equipment and technology, decorating supplies, ingredients and flavorings, merchandising supplies, bakeware and moulds.
