Modern Baking and Baking Management magazines will roll out the Baking Blog, a blog for professionals in the baking industry, during their coverage of the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) Sept. 26-29 in Las Vegas.
The blog, which can be found at www.thebakingblog.com or via the magazines’ websites at www.modern-baking.com and www.baking-management.com, is designed to allow industry publication editors to deliver timely, on-the-scene reports, observations and analysis to bakery industry professionals.
Katie Martin, chief editor of Modern Baking, Matt Reynolds, chief editor of Baking Management, and Evangeline McMullen, baking group assistant editor, will each contribute to the blog daily, relaying insights and ideas learned during the Expositions many seminars and on the show floor.
Coverage will include live updates on the outcomes of contests. On Monday, The Baking blog will provide live updates of the Bread Baker’s Guild of America’s Team USA 2010 as it competes in the LeSaffre Cup, a qualifier for the prestigious Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie (World Cup of Baking. The blog also will chronicle the Retail Bakers of America’s 10th Annual Pillsbury Baker’s Plus Grand Champion Creative Decorating Competition.
