After CupcakeStop, a mobile bakery truck operating in New York City, stopped operations last month, co-owner Richard Kallman has revived the business. CupcakeStop ran two trucks throughout the city, opened a flagship retail store in Greenwich Village late last year and operated a production and retail bakery in Montclair, N.J.
Last month founder Lev Ekster announced on Twitter that the two-year old company was closing. Kallman will resume baking in the Montclair location and will have the company’s two trucks running again on Wednesday, April 20. He plans to have the Greenwich location open again this summer, and he is looking for additional bricks-and-mortar locations in Manhattan.
